Amid the last events that are taking place in Kyiv, speaker of Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov adressed to his Crimean Tatar colleagues urging them to stay calm and self-possessed.

This was announced at the session of Crimean Parliament on Feb.19.

“Let's unite our responsibility for ensuring peace and stability in Crimea. We should remain calm, still be ready for everything - he stressed.Your political views are your own business, still political alliance with Ukrainian opposition did not help you in solving Crimean Tatar issues” – he added.

Crimean activists from Svoboda and Praviy Sector opposition parties declared a general mobilization and urged Crimeans to go to Kyiv.

At least 25 people have been killed in clashes between antigovernment protesters and police that erupted on Feb. 18 in Kyiv.
