Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the new Head of the OSCE will visit Donetsk region as soon as January3-4, MFA press office reported.

The officials’ work plan includes discussion of implementation of the Minsk agreements and the situation in the region of the military operations.

“The aim of the visit is to introduce the Head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry in the early presidency of this country in the OSCE, with the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements, socio-economic situation in the region, due to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, as well as the implementation of charitable projects with the participation of Austrian humanitarian organizations,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

Moreover, the politicians are going to hold a series of meetings with the Heads of local and regional state administrations and representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission in order to discuss the prospects of deploying armed OSCE police mission in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as strengthening the capacity of the OSCE Special monitoring mission in Ukraine.
