On the results of the last meeting of the Normandy four on November 29, the Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that Russia will not accept any conditions to resolve the situation in Donbas due to the fundamental differences in views on the "road map".
“Russia does not want to take any steps forward, to reach the compromise. During the discussion, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that he was not interested in the details. Discussion on the "road map" was pretty short. Russia does not agree on the key priorities. There still remains a fundamental difference of opinion regarding the "road map." Negotiations on its formation in a variety of formats continue,” said the Head of the international department of Ukraine.
According to him, only the German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier supported the initiative to release all the hostages, held in captivity by the pro-Russian militants in Donbas.
The meeting in "Normandy format" of the foreign ministers of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany has been called to discuss the humanitarian situation in Donbas and the issue of release of the hostages and prisoners of war.
