WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The release of Ukrainian political prisoners from Russian captivity is one of the main issues on which Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin will concentrate during a May 8-10 visit to Washington.

The press service of the Foreign Ministry stated that Klimkin intends to attend a meeting of the basic group of the Munich Conference on Security, where he plans to discuss the security situation in the east of Ukraine with the participants of the event, as well as the impact of this situation on the security of Europe.

 

Furthermore, according to the department, the Ukrainian Minister has planned a series of bilateral meetings with the participants of the event and with high-ranking officials of the United States to discuss "topical international and bilateral" relations.
