The visit the Foreign Ministers of Germany and France have paid to Kiev is the evidence that the "Normandy format" works, the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported on Facebook citing Pavlo Klimkin.

The Foreign Minister thanked the Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Foreign Affairs Minister of France Jean-Marc Ayrault for the consistent support of Ukraine.

Klimkin went on to say Ukraine will continue working in order to ensure the presence of the OSCE SMM representatives in the occupied territory of Donbas. The Minister stressed that resorting to the Minsk Agreements he would seek the release of all prisoners held in the Crimea and Donbas.

It is an important fact that the OSCE representatives will not monitor the illegitimate elections in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea, said Klimkin.

The German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Foreign Minister of France Jean-Marc Ayrault pledged that their countries do not recognize the annexation of Crimea.
