TORONTO (QHA) -

April 23, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the G7 countries and Ukraine during an informal meeting in Canada discussed the issues of the occupied Ukrainian territories and the hostages held by the Kremlin, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin reported on his Facebook page.

“There was a feeling that Ukraine is a part of this community, and those challenges that we face today are challenges to our common values. We spoke about everything: about the occupied Crimea and the Donbas, Ukrainian hostages, which Russia illegally holds," he wrote.

The Foreign Minister also expressed his gratitude to Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland "for a sincere conversation and a friendly atmosphere."

Earlier it was reported that Klimkin would discuss with the Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries the release of the hostages of the Kremlin, among which the case against the Ukrainian farmer in the Crimea, Volodymyr Balukh.
