Kerch Bridge: RUB 8 billion allocated to Rotenberg’s company

‘Stroygazmontazh’ company, the general contractor to build the bridge from the Russian Federation to the occupied Crimea, has received the first transh in 2016 from the Russian state budget.

The “Stroygazmontazh” company, owned by Russian oligarch Arkady Rotenberg, has received funds from the state budget for construction of the Kerch bridge, Interfax-Russia reports with reference to the bridge construction project owner - the federal state-owned institution Management of Federal Roads “Taman.”

The general contractor has reportedly received more than RUB 8 billion. The budget funds are allocated due to the transfer of the state contract to the supervision of the construction.

It is planned to allocate a total of RUB 65.4 billion from the Russian budget for the construction of a bridge to the occupied Crimea in 2016.
