Leader of Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev to meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutolgu on May 13 to discuss the situation of Crimean Tatars in Crimea.

 As reported, Crimean delegation, including head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, his deputy Aslan Omer Kirimli along with Mejlis members Ahtem Chiygoz, Rustem Umerov, is also in Turkey.

Jemilev plans to meet with speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Cemil Cicek.

The focus of the meeting will be paid for situation of Crimean Tatars amid recent events in Crimea.

Earlier, speaking at Parliamentary Meeting of South-East Europe Cooperation Process in Romania, Cicek said that Turkey rejects Crimea’s annexation by Russia and supports dialogue between Moscow and Ukraine.

“We care deeply about the safety and welfare of Crimean Tatars who experienced great pains in history. Therefore we believe Turkey's dialogue with Russia is also significant,” he added.
