Jemilev received archive documents on Crimean deportation

Head of Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) Valentin Nalyvaichenko handed over archive documents concerning Crimean deportation of 1944 to Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev, in Kyiv, May 29.

Nalyvaichenko also noted, the second part of the documents, concerning Crimean Tatar soldiers is to be prepared soon.

In turn, Mustafa Jemilev noted, that the documents will help historians to “find the truth”.

According to SBU statement, among the passed documents, there are unique materials on plans and realization of two-day deportation of Crimean Tatar people to far regions of USSR. These materials include reports to high party leadership, plans and reports about the course of the deportation, documents on the autonomous migration among Crimean Tatars and etc.”- reads the statement.
