The meeting of Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkish Prime Minister, with Mustafa Jemilev, Leader of the Crimean Tatar people, and Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, within the 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation lasted about 30 minutes. The meeting focused on the current situation of the Crimean Tatar people.

During the meeting, Davutoglu stressed that Turkey would be alongside the Crimean Tatars, and would continue to provide them with assistance in every area of life.

The 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was opened in Istanbul on April 14.  The Summit is discussing such pressing issues as the situation in Syria, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Mali, Jammu and Kashmir, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the context of the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan. The Summit is being attended by Mustafa Jemilev, Leader of the Crimean Tatar people and Commissioner of Ukrainian President on Crimean Tatar Affairs, as well as Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
