The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed concern about safety and welfare of the Muslim Crimean Tatar community in Crimea.

“Sufferings of Crimean Tatars, who were deported from their native land in the XX century should not repeat,” says the statement by OIC.

OIC also noted the extreme importance that the rights of Crimean Tatars for citizenship, life, religious and cultural heritage and property were observed.

OIC is convinced that in the XXI century “the constructive dialogue and good neighborliness should become the norm for the international community”.

To note, earlier Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people adopted an appeal to the Secretary General of the OIC, in which requested for assistance in finding peaceful resolution of Crimean conflict.
