Speaking at a meeting of the Federation Council, Russian Senator Igor Chernyshov suggested calling ISIS a fascist organization. According to Podrobnosti online publication, the MP explained it by saying that ISIS is destroying cultural values and people for reason of their nationality, which qualifies it as a fascist organization

“According to the Russian laws, ISIS can no longer be legally defined as a terrorist organization. Destroying cultural values and killing people on a mass scale for reason of their nationality qualifies it as a fascist organization,” said the Russian Senator.

Chernyshov also suggested discussing the matter with EU representatives in order to jointly fight ISIS.
