The Iranian military launched the Emad medium range ballistic missile, reports Al Arabiya citing IRNA, an Iranian state-run information agency.

The missiles, launched from silos in several locations across the country, were supposed to demonstrate the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ “deterrence power” and its readiness to confront threats.

The test came two months after the United States sanctioned businesses linked to Iran's missile program. Iran says none of its missiles are designed to carry nuclear weapons.
