SEVASTOPOL / AK-YAR (QHA) -

On Monday, September 11, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, temporarily acting as the so-called governor of Sevastopol, told reporters that after assuming the post of governor of the city, the composition of the government will change.

“A number of staff decisions were awaiting the end of the election campaign. They will be implemented immediately after I resign the government, as stipulated by law. In the next week we will all see it - until the 20th of September, as far as I can remember the schedule," he said.

According to Ovsyannikov, the changes will affect both the governor’s deputies and the directors of departments.

In the European Union, the "elections" arranged by Russia in the annexed Sevastopol were condemned. The Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Maja Kocijancic noted that the European Union has not recognized the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia and therefore does not recognize the Russian "elections" held there.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine did not recognize the elections in the annexed Crimea and designated them a violation of international law and the laws of Ukraine.
