WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The international mission of experts, having completed its work in Ukraine, made certain findings and reported them to the Fund's Committee.

Officers of the International Monetary Fund noted that in addition to positive steps, in particular, the creation of agencies to fight corruption (NABU) and open database of electronic declarations, Ukraine, in general, have failed to reach positive results in the fight against corruption at the moment.

"Tangible results in the prosecution and conviction of corrupt high-level officials, and seizure of proceeds from corruption have not been reached yet," reads the report of the mission.

November 18, detectives of NABU (the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine) opened the first criminal investigation into the cases of "illicit enrichment" based on information from the e-declarations of two Ukrainian MPs. The mission report on the problems of Ukrainian economy was voiced by the IMF on November 17.
