KYIV (QHA) -

Facts of infringement of the Crimean Tatar rights by the Russian occupation authorities in Crimea will be sent to international courts before the end of the year. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Elena Zerkal at a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Interparliamentary Council, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“We must take into account the situation of the Crimean Tatars, military situation and militarization of Crimea. We see that Crimea is currently turning into a highly militarized zone. All these processes have a negative impact not only on security of Ukraine, but also on the overall situation in the region,” said the representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

According to Elena Zerkal, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry began to consider some cases with respect to certain persons in the Russian Federation, and is going to transfer them to international courts. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry believes that the instruments of international justice will be effective in terms of returning Crimea and protecting the rights of Crimean Tatars.
