KYIV (QHA) -

Russia is constantly ramping up the military presence in occupied Crimea, a spokesman of the Main Directorate of Intelligence with the Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Vadym Skibitskiy told the "112 Ukraine" TV Channel during a TV program "War Diary.”

- In addition to the threat we have on the ground, Ukraine faces the other one: a level of the Russian Federation amphibious operations in the event of large-scale aggression against our country is also increasing. In this case the role of the Ukraine’s Naval Forces is very significant. We have a large sea coast territory and we must protect it. We must remember that Russia has occupied Crimea and deployed there more than 25 thousand troops. In addition, it is constantly ramping up its military presence deploying modern submarines, frigates, aircrafts, etc. In such circumstances, it is simply impossible to keep further defense and repulse Russia’s aggression without the appropriate Ukraine’s Naval Forces, said Skibitskiy.

As QHA reported earlier, a spokesman of the Main Directorate of Intelligence with the Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Vadym Skibitskiy said that carriers with the nuclear weapons have been deployed in annexed Crimea.
