On the evening of July 6, the Kiev District Court of Simferopol extended the measure of restraint for four persons involved in the so-called "Hizb ut-Tahrir case."
Enver Mamutov, Zevri Abseitov, Rustem Abiltarov and Remzi Memetov are charged with "organizing a terrorist organization and participation in its activities" (Art. 205.5, Parts 1and 2 of the Russian Criminal Code).
“The Court, as expected, has extended the measure of restraint – arrest of Enver Mamutov, Rustem Abiltarov, Remzi Memetov and Zevri Abseitov - until October 11, 2016,” reads a statement of the Crimean Political Prisoners Group.
In addition to the fact that the meeting, scheduled for 1 p.m., was long overdue, the court hearing was held under the close supervision of OMON (Russian riot police force).
Witnesses reported that police was making video recording.
In the morning May, 12 the security forces executed the search warrants in the homes of Muslims in the city of Bakhchisarai and detained four people - Enver Mamutov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Zevri Abseitov.
A Kremlin-appointed "Crimean prosecutor" Natalia Poklonskaya said that on Thursday (May 12 - Ed.) the Security Forces detained in the city of Bakhchisarai four members of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" organization, recognized a terrorist one in Russia.
