Nikolai Polozov, lawyer of Ahtem Chiygoz, explained why the Prosecutor’s Office asked to postpone the hearing.

“The hearing into the February 26 case in Crimea has been postponed until February 15, 2016 due to the planned hospital admission of the defendant Kantemirov. Tellingly, the prosecutor's office requested to delay the hearing. Apparently, they were afraid that the mission of the Council of Europe will call on the court,” Polozov twitted.

It was reported earlier that Nikolay Polozov called on the Council of Europe’s monitoring mission to attend the hearing into the February 26 case.
