Head of Bakhchisaray rayon administration Ilmy Umerov has resigned from his post.
According to press service of Bakhchisaray administration, Umerov made the decision “in a view of impossibility to continue work in changed conditions that contradict his ideas and principles”.
Making a speech in front of colleagues, Umerov stressed that he had tried his best to increase indicators of socio-economic development of Bakhchisaray rayon.
In turn, Umerov’s colleagues addressed him lots of warm words and thanked for his support.
“He combined such qualities as democracy, principles, humanity, wisdom, competence, the ability to create favorable atmosphere that gives the opportunity to live and work in the interest of the region, and achieve positive results in all areas of life, and ability to create tolerant interethnic relations”- reads the press service of the administration.
Crimean peninsula secede from Ukraine and joined Russia in March, the move however is not recognized by Kyiv and Western powers.
