KYIV (QHA) -

The Prime Minister informed the Commissioner about the creation of the Ministry for the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons, as well as about the implementation of the Comprehensive state program on support, social adaptation and reintegration of displaced persons," according to a web-portal of the Ukrainian government.

Groisman also raised questions about human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and urged to consider the possibility of sending special mission to assess the human rights on the peninsula.

The Commissioner mentioned that such mission had already worked in Crimea and helped stateless persons to restore it after the Soviet collapse. In this context, Grandi expressed the hope that it will be possible to organize such a mission to Crimea with the support of the UN Committee.

"We are ready to support you in the difficult humanitarian situation that has arisen due to internal displacement of population. I am confident that together we can find a solution to the current situation," said the UN Commissioner.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on November 21. During the meeting they assessed the humanitarian situation in Donbas and problems of the Crimean Tatars in Russian-occupied Crimea.
