Vladimir Groisman explained his stance a press briefing in Kyiv.

- I consider it as an idea – yesterday I heard the Prime Minister was talking about it on TV. I believe that such a mechanism as a referendum can always be used, but as for the status of Donbas- it should not be submitted for a referendum since, it seems to me, neither of the regions cannot have any special status in a unitary country, said Groisman. August 31, 2015 more than 265 MPs voted for the pre-constitutional changes on decentralization, as well as the special status of Donbas.

Currently, Ukraine's Constitutional Court is considering the extension of voting for the bill as a whole.
