A veteran of the Crimean Tatar National Movement, Coordinator of the Crimean Contact Group on Human Rights, Abdureshit Dzhepparov said that Crimean Tatars are forced to work for the Federal Security Service, reports Radio Svoboda.
- It would seem a good thing - to help the "law enforcement authorities," but when it comes down to "snitching" – it is not only a violation of human rights, but simply disgusting, said Abdureshit Dzhepparov.
He stated a lot of facts when young Crimean Tatars are coerced to cooperate with the FSB.
- Over the past year – these are traditional detentions followed by arrests, searches in the homes of dozens of people on trumped-up pretexts, which are far-fetched to absurdity: searching for the some stolen motorcycle or a link with the terrorists - many such cases. Moreover, they bring their own pre-prepared witnesses to the houses where children and the elderly live, said Dzhepparov.
The Coordinator of the Crimean Contact Group on Human Rights recalled a shutdown of the ATR TRK in Crimea. Thus, the local authorities have deprived the Crimean residents of a right to receive information from the Crimean Tatar TV Channel loved by so many people.
