The launch has been attended by the Deputy Governor of Kharkiv region, representatives of the airport and airline, as well as the Vice-Consul of the Republic of Poland in Kharkiv. The talks on the organization of a regular air link between the airline and the Kharkiv airport have lasted four and a half years.

This flight has become the first of a dozen new routes planned by the company for 2016. More than 60 cities will become more accessible for passengers thanks to a convenient timetable and connected flights of the company.

This year the LOT airline, one of the oldest airlines in the world, will mark the 87th anniversary of its founding. The Polish aviators plan to create in Warsaw the biggest hub in Eastern Europe.

The Deputy Governor of Kharkiv region Yulia Svetlichnaya said:

- The launch of a regular transport connection gives us an opportunity to attract Europeans in Kharkiv. As for our fellow citizens - now they can visit Poland without problems.

An important company's advantage is an attractive ticket price: to date, the Kharkiv- Warsaw round trip ticket costs USD 129.
