French company has laid off 70% of Russian staff

The sanctions forced a French company to abandon a large project of oil production in Russia.

The French company Total has reduced the number of employees in the Russian division, according to the Russian Forbes. The local office employed about 600 people.

According to Forbes data, 70% of employees have already left Total. Some of them were further employed by "Zarubezhneft". Total informs that about 200 former employees are currenly out of job. The specialists who have worked in the company for over 10 years, were fired with compensation of two salaries.
