In early November, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko sent a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers, whereby he proposed to urgently establish a working group for a comprehensive analysis of the issue on termination of cargo transportation and trade with Crimea, as well as take a decision on providing temporary cessation of truck and railway communication, says a statement published on the State Border Service’s website.
Therefore, the State Border Service of Ukraine continued execution of tasks to ban the movement of goods and freight across the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea by highway and railway transport, reads the statement.
“In order to prevent the transportation of goods by sea, a particular attention will be paid to ships, which direction of movement is close to the peninsular,” says a statement.
For the time being, the holding of coordination meetings with representatives of law enforcement agencies, inspection services, public and voluntary organizations on developing a roadmap on termination of cargo transportation to Crimea is initiated.
