September 10, illegitimate "election of the governor" of Sevastopol was held in the occupied Crimea. Representatives of foreign journalists were not present at the polling stations, according to the reports by the publication "New Sevastopol".
The Head of the "election commission" Aleksandr Petukhov noted that 695 observers and 42 media representatives, except foreign ones, were present at the voting in the city.
“No complaints about the voting procedure were received. No violations recorded," he said.
Apart from the "gubernatorial elections," September 10, "deputies" were also elected in five settlements of the annexed peninsula, including Simferopol.
Previously QHA reported, the European Union would recognize neither the gubernatorial "elections" held on September 10 in Russia's occupied Sevastopol, nor the "governor" elected on them. The Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Maja Kocijancic stressed that the EU, as before, is committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognize and continues to condemn the illegal annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the RF.
