The Chief Intelligence Department of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine informed about recruitment of Donbas residents for the occupation troops.
“The main problem of Russian command is the lack of people wishing to participate in combat operations in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine. The proportion of local residents in the total number of military grouping of the Russian Armed Forces is constantly decreasing and does not exceed 35% for the time being,” Chief Intelligence Department reports.
In order to resupply military units and deter mass discharges, the command of the Russian occupational forces will forcibly recruit the residents of the temporary occupied territories of Donbas (men under the age of 45) from April 4 to July 15, 2016.
“In addition, the legal possibility of early termination of the contract for Russian mercenaries will be excluded starting March 14, 2016,” reads the report.
