Russian lawyer, Mark Feigin, who has been banned from leaving Russia, is not going to run away secretly.

I am advised to escape and not to wait for the inevitable. Thank you all, but I will stay and won’t go anywhere. I'm not afraid of prison and have been ready for it long ago, Feigin wrote on Twitter.

The reason for the ban has appeared to be the lawyer’s debts.

According to the FSSP data base, the total amount of his arrears is RUB 5 thousand that are traffic fines and a fine in one administrative case.

Feigin also intends to apply to the Moscow lawyer chamber for protection against "lawlessness and mayhem FSSP."

The lawyer believes such actions of the authorities are connected with his human rights work in the Crimea.
