Speaking at the European Parliament in Strasbourg Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said that Crimea is Ukraine, reported ONLINE.UA.
- Crimea is Ukraine, and Ukraine is Europe, said Plevneliev.
Rosen Plevneliev went on saying that times have changed and today the majority of countries do not want to go back to the days when the world was divided into the strong and the weak and they had their own territories of influence. Furthermore, one state is not allowed to take away the territory of the other.
- The bitterness of the events that happened in Ukraine reminds us that achievements of the progressive mankind should not be taken for granted. We have never wanted another war to be waged in Europe, but, unfortunately, the war is on and it is raging on the territory of Ukraine, said President of Bulgaria.
According to the Head of the Bulgarian state, the abolition of visas for Ukrainian citizens is a very important step to support Ukraine.
- I think that the abolition of visas for Ukrainian citizens is an important and timely step so that the Ukrainian people can feel the Europeans’ hospitality and support, said Rosen Plevneliev.
