STRASBOURG (QHA) -

The EU Council extended the sanctions against individuals and companies involved in the violation of the Ukraine’s territorial integrity for another six months until 15 March 2017, reported the press service of the European Council.

The decision affects 146 individuals and 37 legal entities and consists of an asset freeze and travel ban.

The EU introduced sanctions against Russia in March 2014 due to the annexation of the Crimea.
