The European Union has approved a regime of personal sanctions against those involved in use of chemical weapons in the UK.
The decision on a sanctions regime was made by the permanent representatives of the member states at the EU Council.
However, the sanction list itself has not been compiled yet.
Note, on June, the EU leaders made a decision to impose new sanctions regime against the use of chemical weapons, when a former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in Salisbury. The proposal on sanctions was received from the UK and France.
Previously QHA reported, that the Russian TV channel “RT” published an interview with possible suspects Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov regarding the case of poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury. They stated that were in Salisbury as tourists and did not have the nerve agent "Novichok" (Novice).
Reference, on March 5, Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were hospitalized in critical condition after poisoning in the British city of Salisbury.
