Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech at a high-level economic forum held with international investors in a presidential compound in Ankara. Erdogan drew attention to the reaction of Western politicians to the current events in the Republic, including Gulen’s extradition since the latter has not been sent to Turkey by the United States yet.
I ask myself one question: whether the West supports terrorists? Does the West support the democracy or coupists and terrorists? Unfortunately, the West is supporting terrorism and coups. They have nothing to do with all these while we are experiencing it.
Erdogan stressed that Turkey expected the friendly countries to provide support both during the coup and following it. All attacks on Ankara saying it tortures the rebels are nothing more than a myth:
Amnesty International is constantly repeating the detainees are subjected to torture. We do not resort to such measures. The rebels could be wounded during the countering actions while being detained.
August, 2 President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave notice to the European Union saying the Readmission Agreement will be ceased unless the visa regime is liberalized.
