President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has signed a law on ratification of the Turkish-Russian intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, according to the Resmi Gazete official publication.
The agreement involves the construction of two lines of the gas pipeline under the Black Sea. The power of each line is 15 billion 750 million cubic meters of gas. One line is to supply gas directly to the Turkish market; the other is to supply gas through Turkey to Europe. The intergovernmental agreement also defines December 2019 as a construction deadline.
Russia and Turkey signed an intergovernmental agreement on Turkish Stream gas pipeline project on October 10 this year.
