After consultations with Ismet Yilmaz, Speaker of Parliament, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s President, has announced his decision to take Turkey to re-election as per Article 104 and 116 of the Constitution.

Following the July 9 elections, the Cabinet of Ministers was not formed within constitutionally designated term and cannot be formed under the circumstances, which is why a re-election is to be held, reports the President’s press-service

“After consultations with Ismet Yilmaz, Speaker of Parliament, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s President, has announced his decision to take Turkey to re-election as per Article 104 and 116 of the Constitution”, says a statement issued by the press service.
