At a meeting of the fifth session of the so-called "State Council of the Republic of Crimea", the MPs agreed on appointing Pavel Korolev as a "Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea," according to the website of the so-called Council of State of the Republic of Crimea.
“Pavel Korolev will oversee the block of land and property relations and the work of the Federal Service units for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography,” said the self-proclaimed "Head" of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov.
Aksenov said that Korolev has "extensive experience in the federal ministries and departments," and he can "solve many problematic issues."
It should be mentioned that Pavel Korolev was the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation from June 13, 2012 till December 15, 2016.
On December 15 he resigned after a month since his immediate superior, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Aleksei Ulyukayev had been arrested on suspicion of corruption.
At night of November 14-15, the Russian Federal Security Service forces in Moscow detained the Minister of Economic Development Aleksei Ulyukayev on suspicion of taking a bribe of $ 2 million. According to the investigation, the representatives of a state oil company "Rosneft" had tried to accelerate the repayment of a private oil company "Bashneft", bribing the Minister of Economic Development. At the same time, any suspicions against representatives of "Rosneft" have not been filed.
