WARSAW (QHA) -

Egypt resold to Russia helicopter landing ships "Mistrals" bought from France  for one dollar, said the Minister of Defence of Poland Antoni Macierewicz during the parliamentary debate.

According to the Associated Press, Macierewicz told reporters that he had received this information "from good sources."

“To save peace in the world Egypt should have refused the deal,” said the Polish minister.

The contract for the supply of two helicopter landing ships "Mistral" worth € 1,2 billion was concluded between the French DCNS / STX and the Russian "Rosoboronexport" in 2011. France had to pass the first ship "Vladivostok"to the Russian Federation in November 2014, however, due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine and sanctions against Russian President Francois Hollande has decided to suspend the contract until the new order.

After France refused to supply  "Mistrals" to Russia, Cairo and Paris signed a deal for the transfer of the landing ships to Egypt.
