Ukraine have begun withdrawing light weapons in the Donbas, Vladyslav Seleznev, a spokesman for the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine stated in the televised interview to the 5 TV Channel.
"The weapons and military equipment pullback in territories stipulated by Minsk agreements has begun. We are currently engaged in forming lists and coordinating them with the OSCE mission representatives," said Vladyslav Seleznev.
He also noted that the withdrawal of materiel carrying weapons with less than 100mm calibre would be carried out in accordance with the terms and phases stipulated by Minsk agreements and under international observers' supervision, with adherence to silence regime.
Andrei Lysenko, a spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation's headquarters, said that the weapons would be pulled out at a distance of 15 km.
"Ukraine quickly enough fulfills all its obligations undertaken at the international level. We expect the same from the militants," he said.
