In Strasbourg, Mustafa Dzhemilev met the leader of the Russia’s opposition movement, a Chairman of the People's Freedom Party, Mikhail Kasyanov, who in the course of the Parliamentary Assembly took part in the event dedicated to the memory of Boris Nemtsov, Dzhemilev wrote on Facebook.

- According to honorable Mr. Kasyanov, economic and political situation in Russia is more complicated, and the population’s euphoria concerning Putin's actions against Ukraine is dropping significantly, wrote Dzhemilev.

The Commissioner also cited Kasyanov:

- At least we are sure Crimea will be liberated eventually and returned to Ukraine, said Mikhail Kasyanov.

Dzhemilev reminded that earlier the Russian oppositionist, highlighting the illegality of the so-called referendum held in Crimea in 2014, said that under the UN Charter only Crimean Tatars have the right to raise the issue on self-determination of the peninsula.
