March 14, in London the meeting was held between the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, the Presidential Commissioner of Ukraine for Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people, Ukrainian MP Mustafa Dzhemilev and the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, according to the message on the official page of Dzhemilev.

Apart from Mustafa Dzhemilev, the Deputy Chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov and Akhtem Chiyhoz also attended the meeting.

“Today along with Ilmi Umerov, Akhtem Chiygoz, Rustem Umerov we had the honor of personally acquainting with the Foreign Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, and I had the opportunity to personally thank him for his position on the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, which was published in the article "Four years since the illegal annexation of Crimea: article by Boris Johnson,” Dzhemilev wrote on his Facebook page.

Reportedly, the situation in the occupied Crimea was discussed in London, where the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov met with the lawyers of the European Human Rights Advocacy Center (EHRAC) and discussed the details of the case of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people against the Russian Federation, which is pending before the ECHR.
