The leader of the Crimean Tatar People, Ukraine’s Presidential Commissioner for the Crimean Tatar People MP Mustafa Dzhemilev left for France as a part of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. A PACE winter session in Strasbourg, scheduled for Jan 25-29, will dwell on terrorism, migratory crisis and democratic institutions in Poland, Mustafa Dzhemilev wrote on Facebook.
An issue of temporarily occupied Crimea and Russian aggression against Ukraine also will be discussed at several events and roundtables, including a planned press conference on the current situation in Crimea with participation of the Presidential Commissioner for the Crimean Tatar People.
It’s worth mentioning that Russians have not arrived in France for PACE. According to Vladimir Aryev, Chairman of the Ukraine’s Permanent Delegation to the PACE:
- Russia got scared to be slapped for the third time with sanctions ready to be introduced.
