Simferopol (QHA) - The Crimean Tatar community will not be able to convince head of Mejlis Mustafa Dzhemilev to remain at his post, informs site crimea.comments referring to the words of Mustafa Dzhemilev.
“There is a clear provision in the Kurultay regulations- if the candidate recuses himself, this is out discussion. But they want to take a decision at Kurultay session. This would contradict the provisions. This will not work. I have talked to them already. I have made a decision and will stick to it”, said Dzhemilev.
To note, some media sources published a number of appeals to Dzhemilev, prepared by active members and veterans of the Crimean Tatar national movement asking him to stay head of Mejlis. Crimean Tatar NGO “Inkishaf” supported the initiative.
To recall, this year Kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people of VI convocation will take place on October 26-27.
