September 4, while on a visit to Ankara, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, People's Deputy of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev and Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov visited the central office of the Association of Culture and Mutual Aid of the Crimean Tatars in Turkey.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Association of Culture and Mutual Aid of the Crimean Tatars in Turkey Mukremin Sahin, Head of the Platform of the Crimean Tatar Organizations Umit Silit, members of the central governing body of the Association for the Culture and Mutual Aid of the Crimean Tatars, the Turkish-Ukrainian Friendship Society, the Women's Society named after Shefika Gasprinska, and representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.


The Head of the Association of Culture and Mutual Aid of the Crimean Tatars in Turkey Mukremin Sahin, presented to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov the book "The Crimean Tatar Architectural Relic of the Crimea" jointly sponsored by Hakan Kırımlı and Nicole Kançal-Ferrari. The Minister was also presented with a handmade plate with a national ornament.

Earlier QHA reported that Mustafa Dzhemilev in Ankara said that Turkey regards Ukraine as an ally and will seek the return of Crimea. Previously, Arsen Avakov said that Ukraine has won tender for repairs and modernization of the MI-17 helicopters of the Turkish Gendarmerie.

September 4, the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Turkey signed a memorandum on cooperation of law-enforcement bodies.
