Self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic has declared military emergency, Donetsk People's Republic has written in Twitter.
"Military emergency is introduced from May 26," the report said.
Chairperson of the presidium of the 'Supreme Council of Donetsk People's Republic' Denis Pushilin said that the next objective of separatists is cleaning of the territory from Ukrainian 'alien' troops.
As we earlier reported, Luhansk, Donetsk regions of Ukraine, that declared independence, disrupted presidential elections on May 25, with many polling stations in the regions shuttered.
Meanwhile, exit polls on May 25 indicated that Ukrainian confectionery tycoon Petro Poroshenko was elected president after securing an absolute majority in the first round of voting.
Poroshenko said his first mission as president is to "end war and bring peace" and announced his first trip would be to the heavily pro-Russian, rebel-held east.
