COPENHAGEN (QHA) -

The Kremlin-controlled Russian hackers received access to the e-mail of some employees of the Denmark Ministry of Defense during the period from 2015 to 2016, the Danish publication of Berlingske reported.

"This is very controlled. These are not small hacking groups doing it for the fun of it. This is tied to the intelligence services of central elements in the Russian regime, and it is an eternal struggle to keep them at bay,” Denmark's Defense Minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen said.

Earlier, on December 30, 2016, the US Department of Homeland Security, jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, released a report that revealed details of attacks by Russian hackers on US government servers.
