The Russian side conceals information about the actual state of health of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov, the Commissioner of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova stated on her Facebook page.
“It is obvious that they hide from us the actual state of Oleg’s health.”
Denisova reminded that today, June 26, is the 44th day of the hunger strike of the political prisoner.
“The information received on the state of his health is full of discrepancies. On June 15, when I was at the door to the colony in Labytnangi, Tatiana Moskalkova reported that Oleg had stopped the hunger strike. An hour later she said that "he was ready to stop the hunger strike, but he did not stop." Every day he, with his own consent, receives nutrient solution that includes vitamins, proteins and all the necessary elements. His state of health is satisfactory."
The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, Anatoly Sak, and the Chairman of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov said that Sentsov was receiving supportive therapy and that he was under the constant supervision of doctors.
Denisova recalled that, according to Moskalkova, the Ukrainian political prisoner had gained several kilograms. So, Sentsov allegedly gave a written consent to receive the mixture for a specialized diet.
“And since June 8 he receives a mixture for Enteral Nutrition "Nitridrink" (to take every 4 hours). The same mixture was received by Nadezhda Savchenko in the period of prolonged hunger strike,” Denisova wrote.
Lawyer Dmitry Dinze, in turn, said that there is such a mixture in the colony, but Sentsov does not use it.
“On my question to Oleg's lawyer, if he can confirm this information, Dmitry Dinze said that Oleg wrote that, I quote: "there was some statement, which says that in the case of a new crisis and if it is necessary by the doctors' conclusion, then he will take this nutrition mixture himself. In order not to use the probe and do not injure the mucous. "According to the lawyer, there is a mixture in the colony, but he does not use it.”
The Ukrainian Ombudsman demanded immediate access to the Ukrainian political prisoner.
Earlier, Lyudmila Denisova said that Oleg Sentsov is very pale, moves little and hardly gets out of bed. The doctors who examined him reported that his receptors were failing. Denisova appealed to the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation Gennady Kornienko with a request to urgently grant access to visit the political prison.
