Today, April 6, the Simferopol Appellate Court holds a regular hearing into a complaint filed by the defense against the ruling by judge Galina Redko as of 02/03/16, under which she arbitrarily and extrajudicially extended the detention of Ahtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi, the participants of the so-called case "February 26."
The arrested have not been brought to the court once again and the hearing will be held in the "cinema" mode, Head of the CEC of Kurultai of the Crimean Tatar People Zair Smedlyaev wrote on Facebook.
According to him, except judges and prosecutors, only the defense was allowed to enter the courtroom.
- Thus, they deprive the relatives of the arrested to see each other at least at hearings! wrote Smedlyaev.
March 29, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea held two hearings in "February 26" case. The defendants were not taken to the court as it was planned to hold the hearing via videoconference.
The petition to deliver to court Ahtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi- arrested in the case was rejected. The defense also filed a motion to adjourn the hearing since the participants had not been notified properly.
As a result, the Appellate Court adjourned the hearing into the complaint lodged against the ruling by judge Galina Redko as of 02/03/16, till April 6.
The Appellate Court has scheduled hearing into the complaint against the court decision as of 3/11/16, under which the detention period of Ahtem Chiygoz, Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi was extended until 04.11.16, for April 7.
