Decentralization to raise Iron Curtain

The decentralization will raise the Iron Curtain standing between the Soviet past and Ukraine's European choice, reported stated Gennadiy Zubkov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine at a meeting of the President of Ukraine with representatives of local communities.

- More than half of the Ukrainian communities have started out the unification process. People want the European standards of services, jobs, education and health care, a decent salary. Investors and business want transparent, honest and clear rules of management and business operation, as well as non-interference of government institutions in their activities. The whole country requires fast and effective reforms, the key of which is precisely decentralization, said Gennadiy Zubko.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the decentralization reform is one of the factors that will help to stop military operations in the east of Ukraine. Therefore, the new Constitution is an irrevocable point that is to show which way Ukraine chooses for its enemies and partners.

- Appeals to postpone the reform are the calls for military aggression to move on. Those stumping to postpone Constitutional Amendments are consciously or unconsciously playing up to the Russian terrorists and its military fighting against the very existence of the Ukrainian state in the Donbas, said the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.
