NEW YORK (QHA) -
Representative of the Youth Commission of the Crimean Tatar Association of Culture and Mutual Aid Center in Turkey Fethi Kurtiy Şahin addressed the 16th session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, according to a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the director of the agency "Crimean News" Gayana Yuksel.
 
In his speech, Fethi Şahin has once again stressed the demand of the Crimean Tatars on the Russian Federation.
“The demand, voiced in the speech, is the implementation of the provisions of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples by the state-occupier that controls the territory of the Crimea, where the indigenous people - Crimean Tatars - reside,” Gayana Yuksel wrote.
