(QHA) -

Despite disorders that are taking place in Kyiv, an initiative group of Crimean Tatars is heading to Kyiv to demonstate their civic position.

This was said to QHA agency by deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz.

“A group of about 45-50 people is heading to Kyiv. Some are going by train, some-by bus,” said Chiygoz.

He also stressed that Crimean Tatars have not left EuroMaidan since the beginning of it in November last year.

“In fact, Crimean Tatars are on EuroMaidan daily. I personally came back from there yesterday. An initiative group of 11 people is still there,” he shared.

According to vice chairman of Mejlis, people head to EuroMaidan at their own initiative and with their own funds.
